Bohemian Grove 1st Birthday All Night Party: Miles Sagnia, Jane Fitz, Residents – 03/09/11

A night for automatic lovers of all things deep and electronic, from the outer reaches of Chicago house music and Detroit techno, to the deepest sounds of Berlin and everything in between. Featuring a blend of DJ sets and live performance with a real emphasis on the underground.

In what seems like no time at all a year has passed and we’re celebrating our first birthday.
In the last twelve months we’ve thrown five parties, playing host to Andy Stott, Claro Intelecto, Levon Vincent, DJ Jus-ED, Mike Huckaby and Marcellus Pittman. We seem to have gathered a loyal crowd of music lovers and we are truly grateful for all the support you have shown us. We throw underground parties for a cross section of silly people, no gimmicks, all we want to do is share a bit of our love for music and partying with you in a cosy atmosphere.

For our birthday event we have decided to throw a marathon ten hour party and are extremely happy to be giving UK producer Miles Sagnia his first outing in this neck of the woods. He has been a prominent figure as a DJ on the UK techno scene for well over 15 years and has gained much respect as a producer over the last decade with releases on Keith Worthys ‘Aesthetic Audio’ and Kirk Degiorgios ‘Applied Rhythmic’ Technology as well as heading up his own ‘Atmospheric Existence Recordings’.

Miles’ releases have recieved critical acclaim globally and made the top of the charts of many including Kirk Degiorgio, Kai ‘KZR’ Alce, Deetron and Patrice Scott to name but a few.

Miles will be backed up by Londons Jane Fitz, founder of the long standing ‘Peg’ party and host of the brilliant ‘Dirtysounds Sessions’ radio show on ‘MHYH’. Jane has alrady clocked up some miles so far in 2011 dropping her dirty sounds in cities such as Chicago, Detroit and Berlin, next stop Manchester!

As mentioned earlier, we will be running through until 8am this time, be prepared!

As you will know by now, we have a tendency for changing venues from party to party, with Islington Mill being our current choice. Much as we like to keep you on your toes, we feel that the Mill is the perfect setting for Bohemian Grove. It works so well on so many levels and for the time being we will most definitely be staying put.

Bohemian Grove is all about hearing good electronic music in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere with like minded people.
We like to keep our parties intimate to ensure that the vibe is never compromised. Unfortunately we have had to turn a lot of people away at previous events but rest assured we have no plans to move to any of the city’s bigger venues.

Islington Mill, James Street, Salford. 10pm – 8am… £10

Tickets will soon be available online at http://www.residentadvisor.net and at Piccadilly Records or Eastern Bloc, Oldham Street, Manchester city centre…. Peace !
